戰力展示活動由於正值7月，天候炎熱，又邀請平均年齡超過90歲高齡的抗戰老兵多達134人，國防部特別準備「保冷劑」及具有空調系統的行動醫療站，避免抗戰老兵及參觀民眾中暑。
昨天雖未出大太陽，但天氣仍悶熱，行動醫療站前所擺放1萬3000包的保冷劑，因可立即降溫，頗受民眾歡迎，還民眾多拿幾個保冷劑，放在自己身上降溫。
事實上，參演官兵為做好操演，練習相當辛苦，以陸軍儀隊為例，昨天仍緊鑼密鼓演練，他們不畏七月酷熱，烈日下身著飛行夾克、手腳穿戴重達10公斤的沙包，進行直立式托槍、禮兵步等訓練，全心全力準備戰力展示項目，期為國人帶來完美演出。
